What we collect

Account information. Your name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; we never see them. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.

Business profile. Your business name, business category, city, contact phone number, and optionally a WhatsApp number, Telegram username, website address and logo.

Advertising content. Images, videos and text you upload to create an advertisement, together with the audience, budget and schedule you choose.

Order and payment records. What you ordered, the amount you paid in Ethiopian Birr, and a transaction reference from our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number, bank credentials or mobile money PIN.

Campaign results. Reach, impressions, clicks, messages and spend reported back to us by the advertising platforms for campaigns we run on your behalf.

Support and feedback. Messages you send us, and any feedback you submit through the product.

Technical information. IP address, approximate country, browser type, device type, pages visited and times of access. We use this to keep the service secure, to prevent abuse, and to understand which parts of the product are used.

Why we collect it

To create your account and keep it secure
To build, review and publish your advertisement on the platforms you select
To take payment and to keep an accurate record of your advertising credit
To report back how your campaign performed
To review advertisements against our policies and against the advertising platforms' rules before they run
To send you service messages about your orders, such as payment confirmation, approval, rejection and completion
To detect fraud, abuse and policy violations
To meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal effect on you. Advertisements are reviewed by a person before they run.

Who we share it with

Advertising platforms. To run your campaign we send your advertisement, your audience choices and your budget to the platform you selected — currently Meta (Facebook, Instagram and Messenger), and in future Google and TikTok. Those platforms process that information under their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control what they do with it.

Payment providers. Payment is handled directly by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation and a transaction reference. Your card or account credentials never reach our systems.

Service providers. Hosting, database, file storage and email providers who process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Legal requests. Where we are required to disclose information by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information so that other companies can advertise to you.

Where your data is stored

Our database and application servers are hosted in the European Union. Advertising platforms, payment providers and other service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards. By using Negarit you understand that your information may be processed outside Ethiopia and outside the United Arab Emirates.

How long we keep it

Account and business profile: while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need it for accounting, legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
Advertising creatives: while the campaign runs, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that results can be reported and disputes resolved.
Order, payment and advertising-credit records: for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax rules.
Technical logs: for a short period, typically no more than twelve months.

You may ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
Correct information that is wrong or out of date
Delete your account and the personal information associated with it
Stop sending you non-essential messages

Email hello@negarit.app and we will respond. We may need to keep certain records after deletion where the law requires it.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you signed in, remembering your theme and language preference, and protecting against abuse. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies on negarit.app.

Security

Access to your information is restricted to staff who need it to do their work. Connections to the site are encrypted in transit. The credentials used to operate advertising accounts are held in isolated systems and are never exposed to the website or to your browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

Children

Negarit is a service for businesses. It is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant we will also tell you by email or in the product.
